Wedding Wednesdays: Megan and Corey 9.19.20

Megan and Corey have been married just about a month now (actually a month and 2 days) so it seemed appropriate to honor them in a Wedding Wednesday feature post. I had the joy of meeting Megan, many many moons ago as a camper at Camp Eberhart in Three Rivers, MI. Naturally, when she reached out to me about engagement photos, I was overjoyed and then we got to planning the wedding photos!

Here’s their story…

Megan and Corey met back in 2013 in Bloomington, Indiana. They actually lived in the same apartment building before ever really meeting. Corey’s IU psychology club was putting on a Trick-or-Treat Can Drive over Halloween, but because of the bad weather, it was canceled. No one showed up, except for Megan. They spent the rest of the night getting to know each other, and soon after were dating.

After their journey at IU, they made their way to Chicago for a while, and back to Bloomington so Corey could complete his Masters for school.
Halloween 2019, Corey proposed, just 6 years after their first Halloween official meeting, where Corey had tied the ring around their dog, Maisie’s neck. Obviously, she said yes!

While COVID largely impacted their wedding plans, they made changes and adjustments, and continued to move forward with their wedding date of 9.19.20 in St. Joseph, Michigan at Harbor Shores Inn.

It was a great September day, and everything went perfectly. Friends and family gathered (masks and all) to watch and celebrate the marriage of Megan and Corey.

A whirlwind of a month, because shortly after, they moved into their first home together in Michigan.

Much love to you both!
