Wedding Wednesdays: Maddi and Christian

It’s been a while since I did a Wedding Wednesday Feature and today’s goes out to Maddi and Christian.

Their wedding was back in September of 2021, which seems like ages ago! But it was such a fun day of going all over spots in Northbrook for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! Growing up in Northbrook, I was familiar with everything, even had attended St. Norbert for school pre-school through 8th grade, so when Maddi reached out about it, it was definitely a day near and dear to my heart. I just knew I had to make it special!

Here’s a short view into their story! Maddi came to University of Alabama in 2013 started working at Texas roadhouse in 2015 , where she met Christian 2016 working at the restaurant. Christian worked in the kitchen and Maddi was a server. They both had huge unspoken crushes on each other. He asked me out previously and she said no! But good thing she decided a bit down the road or so later and said to herself, “I was like what am I thinking!?” and she asked him on a date and they had been dating since January 2017. In 2017, Christian joined the Air Force and they’ve been long-distance ever since (he’s been stationed in Japan and then England so very long distance!) They got engaged September 2018 and are so excited to finally solidify their love after a long awaited time!

I couldn’t even imagine a long distance relationship of that distance, let alone also planning a wedding at that distance! Their wedding week was the first time they had seen each other in quite some time and you could see the love and excitement between them on the wedding day!

We started off with the ceremony in St. Norbert Church, headed through the Village green for some couples photos of the two of them, and then were greeted by family and friends at The Landmark Inn for a brief cocktail hour. From there, we made our way to Pinstripes in Northbrook for a night of bowling, food, and dancing.

Lots of love between these two and I can’t wait to watch their love and marriage continue to grow!
