Spring 2020 looked a little different this year than most. With the effects of COVID-19 beginning in March, most spring sessions were moved or canceled. Back in March, I was supposed to travel to Iceland a few days for a trip, but I was also slated to do some engagement photos for a few couples while I was going to be there. Luckily two of the couples are local to Chicago, so we rescheduled, but the other two I had to cancel and that was a bummer. I couldn’t even image what those images in Iceland would have looked like. If only….

So, after a few months of no sessions, and staying at home, I had my first session the first weekend in May, an outdoor newborn session- my first. We made it work! Due to the restrictions, we had to remain outdoors and a safe distance apart. It was so great to be photographing again!

Since the beginning of May, I’ve done a few other sessions and am getting ready to ramp up for summer packed with maternity and newborns sessions and a wedding in Michigan.

I missed all my clients so much and can’t wait to meet my new ones this year. While things have been a little different- adapting is key right now!
